Rules
We will enforce new, updated class rules for the 2025 race season for the A-Main Challenge.
Sportsman Class Rules:
- A racer is eligible to enter the Sportsman class if you have 0% car manufacturer sponsorship.
- If you are a sportsman class driver and any of your qualifying times are in the top five of the Expert class, you must move into the Expert class for the event and any further events.
Expert Class Rules:
- If you have a 1% to 99% car manufacturer sponsorship at any time during the racing year, you must race in the Expert class.
- If you are an Expert driver and any of your qualifying times are in the top twenty of the Pro class, you must move into the Pro class for the event and any further events for the year.
- If you have had a 100% car manufacturer sponsorship in the race year and you drop down in your sponsorship for the race, you will be disqualified and banned from our events.
Pro Class Rules:
- If you have a 100% car manufacturer sponsorship, you must enter the Pro class.
- If you have ever been a paid driver for a car manufacturer, you must enter the Pro class.
- If you have EVER made the A-Main at a TNR, DNC, or Silver State, you must enter the Pro class.
- If you have ever won the 1/8 scale IFMAR Fuel World Championships or Nationals, you must enter the Pro class.
Former and current Pro drivers are eligible to run the 40+ Invite Class. However, if you qualify for the A-Main or bump to the A-Main (in the Pro Class), you will be ineligible to run the 40+ Invite Main Event, and half of your entry will be refunded.
These rules help provide a competitive racing environment and are meant to prevent racers from competing in classes for which they are too skilled.
Side note: If you are upset about these rules, it is possible that you have been racing in the wrong class and that it is time to move up a class.
